Apple Pie Cocktail

Caramel Apple Cocktail Recipe

So, Julia and I decided we needed a fancy little cocktail party for the ladies at work. I decided to host it last night at my place and we had a great night! Thanks to all the girls for getting dolled up and coming out (and the dudes too)!

I was trying to think of fall-esque cocktail recipes and remembered my Mom’s friend made this Apple Pie drink one year. I wanted to recreate it, but I was not sure how to actually make it. I assumed apple juice and vodka needed to be involved, so I had a couple rounds of testing before the party and ended up going with apple juice, vodka and a caramel apple liqueur.

For the night of, I made this in a pitcher. It was super easy to just make a batch (or 3) and pop it in the fridge ready to refill anyone’s empty glass.

Apple Pie Cocktail Recipe:

4 cups apple juice
16 oz. vodka
4 oz. caramel apple liqueur
3 cinnamon sticks

Just pour everything together, stir and chill! For the last pitcher we made, I ran out of apple juice, so we tried apple cider instead and it was even better.

Before I was serving this to people, I made a glass for myself in a cocktail shaker with ground cinnamon instead of the sticks. The cinnamon separated, so use the sticks or drink it really fast… For the solo version, use 4 oz. apple juice, 3 oz. vodka and 1 oz. caramel apple liqueur. I take back what I said about drinking it fast. This packs a punch and the sweetness can really trick you. Trust me, I wish I had had that warning before that third pitcher.
